Sometimes, life feels pretty hectic. We may not know what is going to happen from one moment to the next. We may have an agenda and want to do certain things for ourselves, but life happens.

Have you ever been there?
Have you ever felt like your world was closing in and there was nobody there to help? Even if they could reach you, it do neither of you any good. So you don’t bother anyone because you don’t want to burden them with the war that goes on inside of you. Your afraid it may scare those few that you do talk too away?
This is what depression feels like. And cleaning the house during a spell? Forget it. How do you get through these times?
Well, first of all, you fight the thoughts that stop you from reaching out to the people who love you. Reach out anyway. If you don’t want to talk about the bad things, and want to saber the good times, that’s okay.

I need you to put one foot in front of the other until your free from the fire. The fire can’t burn forever, and it cannot rain forever. You must find a way to dance. Dance, beautiful. Dance.
If you can’t bare to think about the housework, then don’t. Your body and mind are trying to tell you something. You need to listen. Listen with all your might. Because inside of you are the answers that you seek.

The house may be in disarray. Your life may even be in shambles today. But guess what? If you keep going, you will have a good day.
Does it seem like most of your days are bad and your living for nothing but darkness? You control this narrative. This is your story. Is this how you want to spend your life?
I want you to close your eyes. Think of a large city with busy streets, cabs honking, and the subway passing. Can you hear how loud it is? Okay, now emergency broadcasts fill the street. Large TVS at every corner. There is a large nuke heading straight for this city, and it’ll be there in ten minutes. You have no car, no phone, nothing. Your heart is racing and you are now thinking about your entire life. Its all flashing before your eyes. The loud talking you heard before has turned into death curdling screams. This is it, this is the end.

What would you change about your life? What would you do differently? The moral of the story is to live each day as if it were your last. Sometimes it takes drastic measures to help us see reality a little clearer.
If this story caused you to panic, good. You passed. If you did not panic, then you failed this excercise.
